Hello, I'm Aki "Omakase Style" Guide.
Aki — Your Local Guide in Tokyo Hi, I'm Aki, founder of Chari Stroll and a lifelong Tokyo local. After years of watching visitors stick to the same guidebook routes, I started this service to show a different side of the city — the backstreets, local shops, and hidden corners that make Tokyo feel like Tokyo. I can guide you anywhere around Tokyo — Shinjuku, Shibuya, Ikebukuro, Asakusa, Akihabara, Nihombashi, and beyond. We can meet up right at the bike shop where you rent your bicycle, or anywhere else that works for you. Just tell me where you want to go and what kind of experience you're looking for, and I'll build it around you, omakase-style — maybe we grab some bento and have a picnic in a quiet park along the way. I speak Japanese and English, and I'm always happy to slow down, stop for photos, or take an unplanned detour if something catches your eye — that's kind of the whole point. Let's explore Tokyo together, one pedal at a time.

Shop FAQ
Omakase Ride — FAQ Q: What is Omakase Ride? A: "Omakase" means "leave it to us" in Japanese. Omakase Ride is a personal, guided cycling experience through Tokyo — no fixed itinerary, just a local showing you the city by bike based on your interests, pace, and time available. Q: How long is a tour? A: However long you like — book by the hour. Most guests choose 2–4 hours, but shorter or longer is fine. Q: Do I need my own bike? A: No — rental bikes are available through Chari Stroll's partner shops. Let me know when you book and I'll help you arrange one near your meeting point. Or you can hire me even if you rent your bike from other places. Just contact me for details! Q: Where do we meet? A: We'll agree on a convenient meeting point after booking, usually near a partner rental shop or your accommodation. Q: What language do you speak? A: English and Japanese. Q: Can I choose where we go? A: Yes. Tell me what you're into — food, photography, quiet neighborhoods, off-the-beaten-path spots — and I'll build the route around it. If you'd rather I just surprise you, that works too. Q: Is this suitable for beginners? A: Yes. Tokyo is very bike-friendly and I keep the pace comfortable. Just let me know your experience level when booking so I can plan accordingly. Q: What should I bring / wear? A: Comfortable clothes and shoes, weather-appropriate layers, and a phone or camera for photos. I'll handle the route. Q: What if it rains? A: We can reschedule or shorten the ride — just message me and we'll sort it out. Q: How do I book and pay? A: Book directly through the Chari Stroll platform; payment is handled securely online at booking. Q: What's the cancellation policy? A: Please check Chari Stroll's terms of services. Q: Is this legal / are you a licensed guide? A: Yes. Under Japan's current interpreter-guide law, paid guiding without a national license is legal, and I don't use any protected licensed-guide titles. Q: What if something happens during the ride? A: Bike rentals through partner shops are covered under their own insurance arrangements. I recommend having your own travel insurance for the trip as well.
